It’s just a short walk from The Woolmarket and is the car park we recommend first for most visitors.
The Forum currently has around 175 standard bays, 12 disabled bays, 4 free bays, motorcycle parking and cycle racks. It is open seven days a week, including overnight. Current parking charges are £1 for 30 minutes, £2 for 1 hour, £3.80 for 2 hours and £4.90 for 3 hours. Charges apply from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sundays. Blue Badge holders may park free for up to 10 hours.
🚙 Alternative parking
If The Forum is busy, Waterloo Car Park is another convenient option close to The Woolmarket.
For longer stays, there are also other town-centre car parks including Old Station, Abbey Grounds and Sheep Street. Current 2026/27 council charges vary by car park, so it’s worth checking before travelling.

For most visitors:
1. Try The Forum first
2. Use Waterloo as the next-best option
If you're planning to stay for coffee or spend some time in Cirencester before or after your Dig session, we’d recommend allowing a little extra parking time rather than paying only for the session itself.
🚆 By train
Cirencester does not have its own railway station. Kemble is the nearest station, with onward travel into Cirencester by taxi or bus.
🚌 By bus
Cirencester is well served by local bus routes, with stops within walking distance of The Woolmarket.
