Falconhurst Garden

Beautiful country house family garden in the High Weald

What you need to know

Falconhurst is a beautiful country house in the High Weald of Kent lived in by the same family since it was built in 1852.  The house sits in 5 acres of gardens with trees planted in the mid 19th century by our ancestors, borders lovingly tended by us and our small team and a market garden supplying organically grown vegetables and fruit to Falconhurst Farm Shop.  The ornamental gardens are bursting with flowers and shrubs, many cultivated from seed or cuttings by us.  The bones of the garden have remained the same since the garden was first started, but we are always trying something new which sometimes work; sometimes not!

There are chickens, lambs and pigs to see; formal and wildlife ponds, woodland walks and wide gravel paths with seats to sit and enjoy the views towards Ashdown Forest.

Most of the garden is accessible for either wheelchairs or pushchairs.  The walled garden has rather deep gravel so that is not as easy and the woodland walks are bumpy for the passenger.

Pick up a coffee and bun from Falconhurst Farmshop during your stay and enjoy a peaceful hour or two.  They will also have a good selection of plants grown here to buy.  We very much look forward to welcoming you to our home.
