WIMBLEDON QUARTER ICE RINK TERMS & CONDITIONS

UNDERSTANDING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions set out the terms on which visitors may use the ice rink.

PARTICIPATION

Wimbledon Quarter reserves the right to refuse admission to the ice rink and/or the venue and has the authority to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of all visitors.

Wimbledon Quarter is entitled to request visitors leave the venue at any time at its sole discretion. This includes any persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol or who, in the reasonable opinion of Wimbledon Quarter, is conducting themselves in a manner inappropriate to their continued attendance. The following is also prohibited: the use of foul, abusive or threatening language; dangerous behaviour or any unnecessary noise or behaviour likely to cause distress or confusion.

Smoking, including E cigarettes, is not permitted within Wimbledon Quarter under any circumstances.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied on the ice by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 in the interests of safety.

Wimbledon Quarter reserves the right to close the ice rink and access to the Christmas markets at short notice and without prior warning if necessary and their decision is final.

Skating under the influence of alcohol is not permitted and Wimbledon Quarter reserves the right to remove those deemed to be a risk to the safety of others.

TICKET PURCHASE AND CONDITIONS

Wimbledon Quarter uses LiveIt, a secure third-party electronic commerce platform and ticketing provider, to process ticket sales on its behalf. When you purchase a ticket, it will be done via the LiveIt platform and subject to LiveIt terms and conditions, which you are required to agree in addition to these terms.

All payments are handled by Stripe, a secure third-party electronic payment provider to process payments on its behalf. When you purchase a ticket, it will be done via the Stripe platform and subject to Stripe terms and conditions, which you are required to agree in addition to these terms. Wimbledon Quarter does not store or has any access to any credit or debit card details used for ticket purchases.

Admission to the Ice Rink is by ticket only. All skaters must have a ticket. All tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be resold or exchanged.  It may be possible to transfer a booking, with prior permission from Wimbledon Quarter. Any such transfer is at Wimbledon Quarter’s discretion.

Any altered or defaced tickets will be rendered void. It is the visitor’s responsibility to check his or her tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.  Wimbledon Quarter will not be responsible for any tickets which are lost or stolen.

The ticket holder has a right only to a session of the value corresponding to that stated on their ticket.

Tickets are priced for one 45 minute session and include skate hire. Please arrive at least 25 minutes before your skating session.

Each session is 45 minutes long, from the session start time. You will be allowed entry after the session has started but you will have less time on the ice. Ticket holders will not be permitted to continue skating once their allocated session is over.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

By entering Wimbledon Quarter, visitors consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded as visitors of the ice rink, and consent to such photographs, films or recordings being used by the Wimbledon Quarter to publicise the event in the future. Wimbledon Quarter retains all intellectual property in such photographs, films or recordings.

You may only take photographs for personal use. For health and safety reasons, selfie sticks, large cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices are not allowed on the ice. The use of tripods is not permitted anywhere on-site for safety reasons.

Should you have a professional filming and photography enquiry, prior written approval is required from the Wimbledon Quarter marketing team, and a permit is required to be granted before any such filming or photography is permitted.

SKATE AIDS

Please note: Wimbledon Quarter is obliged to limit the number (10 on busy sessions) of skate aids on the ice. Skate aids are available on a first come first serve basis.

REFUNDS

Wimbledon Quarter reserves the right, acting reasonably, to cancel or reschedule any session at any time (for example, due to weather conditions, security concerns, government regulations or any other reasonable cause as determined by us). If any session is cancelled or curtailed, ticket holders will be offered an alternative session (subject to availability). In the unlikely event that the venue manager deems it necessary to close the rink, alternative sessions will be offered subject to availability.

Wimbledon Quarter’s liability for cancelling or rescheduling shall be limited to providing tickets to an alternative session or providing a refund. Wimbledon Quarter shall have no further liability in relation to any other losses, costs or expenses, including without limitation, the costs of any travel, accommodation or other arrangements made in connection with attending the ice rink.

If you have been removed from the ice rink or venue for inappropriate behaviour, you will not be offered a refund and will not be offered an alternative session.

RISK

Participating in ice skating carries an inherent risk.  Any participation is totally at the user’s own risk.

Anyone with any medical conditions, serious previous injuries, recently broken bones, knee or joint problems, head injuries, pregnancy, mobility problems, or taking prescribed drugs should carefully consider whether it is safe for them to participate without endangering themselves or other participants whilst skating.

Wimbledon Quarter shall not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage however caused, except for death or personal injury as a result of Wimbledon Quarter’s negligence or other breach of statutory duty or other type of liability that cannot by law be excluded or limited.

Wimbledon Quarter accepts no responsibility for any personal property left at the rink or in the lockers or anywhere in the vicinity of the venue.

GENERAL

In the event of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions imposed by any ticket agency, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

Wimbledon Quarter reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time if it has valid reason to do so (for example to comply with any regulatory requirement). Any such changes shall be posted on the Wimbledon Quarter website.

These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by English Law.
