Join us for a day of giving back as we support WAW charity members, Disability Sport Yorkshire!

14th May - 9.30am to 3.30pm 

Bring a packed lunch - Tea/coffee/cold drinks/biscuits provided throughout. 

Up to 25 volunteers needed to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in for a big spring clean!  The Denhale Active Recreation Centre needs some TLC and you can help.

List of jobs on the day:

1. Grounds and Car Park

·       Paint the outer entrance area with masonry paint. (cleaning will be done in preparation).

·       Spray outer paving with a pump sprayer to clean slabs

·       Sweep and tidy up car park area

·       General litter pick ( hand held litter picker provided along with rubber gloves

2. Building

·       Entrance area - and reception office – paint walls and put up a new flexible panel on outer reception desk

·       Small lobby - to the training/activity room – paint walls and new door and put up coat hooks. . (cleaning will be done in preparation).

·       Rear staff office – Paint walls and build flat pack metal storage cabinet

·       . (cleaning will be done in preparation).

·       Corridor – Paint cabinet doors on corridor (cleaning will be done in preparation).

·       –  Check and clean all lockers

·       Kitchen and staff kitchen – DIY jobs, doors to re-attach to cupboards and help with Spring cleaning

·       Sports Hall – Floor to clean with new cleaner (Staff member to support). Audit of sports equipment and log any replacements equipment needed.

Other

·        Dump - Remove all old furniture to the dump – Chair has a Peugeot Mobility van that can be used

·       Windows – cleaning
