What you need to know

As part of South Asian Heritage Month celebrations, the UofG Global Majority Network invites you to the film screening of "What's Love Got to Do with It?".  It is a cross-cultural romantic comedy directed by Shekhar Kapur and written by Jemima Khan. The film follows Zoe (Lily James), a documentary filmmaker, as she chronicles her childhood friend Kazim's (Shazad Latif) journey into an assisted marriage arranged by his Pakistani family.  With a stellar cast including Emma Thompson as Zoe's mother, the movie blends comedy, cultural commentary, and a heartwarming exploration of love in its many forms.

Following the film screening, we will be joined by our panel members, Professor Lubna Nasir, School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine;  Dr Zahra Khosroshahi, School of Culture and Creative Arts; and Mr Sunil Hutchin-Bellur, Research Development Manager, College of Social Sciences. Dr Azra Meadows will chair the panel.
