Orientation for REF impact assessment

Thursday, July 11, 2024

What you need to know

Online event on Thursday 11 July 2024 10:30-12:00

This is the first in a series of workshops aimed at REF Impact Leads and other colleagues involved or interested in the assessment and development of REF Impact Case Studies for REF2029. These workshops are designed and led by the Central REF Impact Team at University of Glasgow in collaboration with the Impact Teams at each college. They are open to all staff at University of Glasgow.

This series of workshops and the accompanying resources are a response to feedback from REF2021 aiming to further enhance the quality and consistency of assessment of potential REF Impact Case Studies across all schools and colleges at the University of Glasgow.

In this online workshop we will:

  • Provide a refresher on the REF Impact basics - what, why, and how?
  • Share the UofG process for developing and assessing REF Impact Case Studies.
  • Explore how to identify impact prospects with the potential to develop into strong REF Impact Case Studies.
  • Direct you to the resources, people, and future training opportunities you need.

A recording of this workshop will be shared on the UofGREF2029 Intranet

If you have any questions about this workshop or REF2029 at University of Glasgow please contact us at ref@glasgow.ac.uk
