Terms and Conditions

Admission to, and conduct at, the University of Lancashire Graduation ceremonies are governed by the following terms and conditions. By booking tickets, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility to Graduate

If you have not yet been awarded your degree but are expected to be eligible to graduate at the forthcoming ceremony, you may proceed with your booking.

If your award has not been confirmed by the ceremony date, your booking will be cancelled, and you will be invited to attend the next available ceremony after your award is confirmed.

Students with unpaid tuition fees will not be permitted to attend.

2. Tickets and Booking

This booking system allows you to secure your own ticket and guest ticket(s), including any additional tickets purchased.

Your ticket and guest ticket(s), including any additional tickets purchased, are non‑refundable and non‑transferable, and may not be used for another ceremony or by another student or guest.

Digital tickets will be emailed to you once your booking is complete. Please ensure these are shared with your guests in advance or printed if required.

All graduands and guests must present a valid digital ticket to gain entry to the ceremony hall. Entry will not be permitted without a valid digital ticket.

If you or your guest(s) can no longer attend, please notify us by e-mailing Graduation@lancashire.ac.uk no later than Monday 16 November 2026.

Our graduation ticketing provider ‘Live It’ offers a Refund Protection service that you can choose to purchase on booking. Refund Protection is an optional service offered by Live It and is separate from the University's graduation ticket sales. If you choose to purchase Refund Protection, your agreement is with Live It and not the University. The Refund Protection fee is non-refundable. Please read Live It's terms and conditions carefully before making your purchase.

3. Ceremony Information

You will receive an email containing important information about your ceremony approximately 14 days prior to your Graduation date.

Doors to the ceremony hall in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre will open 45 minutes before the ceremony starts. All graduands and guests must be seated at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

A strict no re-admittance policy applies. Once your digital ticket has been scanned and you and your guests have entered the ceremony building, a no re-admittance policy will apply. If you choose to leave the building during the ceremony, you will not be permitted to re-enter.

The University operates a zero-tolerance approach to abusive, threatening, intimidating or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff. All staff have the right to work in a safe and respectful environment. The University reserves the right to remove any individual from the ceremony or venue if they are deemed to be disrupting the event or other guests. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

As Graduation ceremonies are public events, the names of all graduates, including those who do not attend, will be published in the graduation programme. Ceremonies will be filmed, livestreamed online, and later made available on the University of Lancashire website. The University will also capture general filming and photography at the ceremonies and celebration events for corporate publicity. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed for these purposes, please email our Brand Team.
