Terms and Conditions

Admission to, and conduct at, the University of Lancashire Graduation ceremonies are governed by the following terms and conditions. By booking tickets, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility to Graduate

If you have not yet been awarded your degree but are expected to be eligible to graduate at the forthcoming ceremony, you may proceed with your booking. If your award has not been confirmed by the ceremony date, your booking will be cancelled and you will be invited to attend the next available ceremony after your award is confirmed.

2. Tickets and Booking

·       This booking system allows you to secure your own ticket and guest ticket(s), including any additional tickets purchased.

·       You must confirm your attendance and free guest tickets by 26 May 2026. Any free guest tickets not taken up by this deadline will be released and cannot be claimed later.

·       Your ticket and guest ticket(s), including any additional tickets purchased, are non‑refundable and non‑transferable, and may not be used for another ceremony or by another student or guest.

·       Digital tickets will be emailed to you once your booking is complete. Please ensure these are shared with your guests in advance or printed if required.

·       All graduands and guests must present a valid digital ticket to gain entry to the ceremony hall. Entry will not be permitted without a valid digital ticket.

·       If your guest(s) can no longer attend, please notify us by e-mail at graduation@lancashire.ac.uk no later than Monday 29 June.

3. Ceremony Information

·       You will receive an email containing important information about your ceremony approximately 14 days prior to your Graduation date.

·       Doors to the ceremony hall in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre will open 45 minutes before the ceremony starts. All graduands and guests must be seated at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

·       A strict no re‑admittance policy applies. Once your digital ticket has been scanned and you and your guests have entered the ceremony hall, a no re-admittance policy will apply. If you choose to leave the hall during the ceremony, you will not be permitted to re-enter.

·       Guests attending with babies or young children must ensure they do not disrupt the ceremony. If a child becomes unsettled, guests may be asked to temporarily leave the hall and settle children in the corridor area.

·       The University reserves the right to remove any individual from the ceremony or venue if they are deemed to be disrupting the event or other guests. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

·       As Graduation ceremonies are public events, the names of all graduates, including those who do not attend, will be published in the graduation programme. Ceremonies will be filmed, live‑streamed online, and later made available on the University of Lancashire website. We will also be capturing general filming and photography at the ceremonies and celebration events for corporate publicity. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed for these purposes, please email our Brand Team.

·       For further information, please visit the Graduation webpages www.lancashire.ac.uk/graduation
