County Rugby Legends Day

Saturday 6 February 2027 | Tynedale RFC, Corbridge

County Rugby Legends Day returns to Tynedale as part of the club’s 150th Season Celebrations, marking 1876–2026.

Following the success of last winter’s County Legends Lunch, we’re bringing together former players, referees, club colleagues, friends and supporters to celebrate Northumberland Rugby once again.

With the support of Northumberland Rugby President Graham Crozier, we’re also extending the invitation to former players and referees from Durham and Cumbria. Whether you shared a dressing room, stood on opposite sides or kept everyone in order with a whistle, you’ll be very welcome.

Gather a few former teammates, enjoy a three-course lunch and catch up with familiar faces before heading pitchside. That afternoon, Tynedale’s 1st XV host Fylde RFC, another club with a proud county rugby tradition, with kick-off at 2pm.

Tickets

£45 per person / £400 tables of 10

Each ticket includes:

• Three-course lunch
• Admission to Tynedale RFC vs Fylde RFC
• A donation to Wooden Spoon

There will also be fundraising activity during the day in support of Wooden Spoon. Having hosted the charity’s VetsFest in both 2025 and 2026, Tynedale is delighted to support its work once again.

Timings

• Doors open: 11am
• Lunch: approximately 12 noon–12.30pm
• Match kick-off: 2pm

Please help spread the word among former teammates and club friends. We’d love to see a strong turnout from clubs across the three counties and welcome back everyone who has been part of county rugby over the years.
