We are pleased to announce the Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars Race is returning to Tunbridge Wells in 2024 even bigger, better and more exhilarating than before!
The one of its kind soapbox kart race raises serious cash for local charities while bringing businesses and community groups together for a hilarious family fun day out in the heart of the town. The event has raised more than £81,000 for charities to date!
Handmade soapbox karts, each sponsored, manned and expertly 'pimped up' by each team, will go head to head in hilarious Red Bull style time trials of a specially made downhill race track in the picturesque park. Local secondary schools will also be returning to go head to head down the hill!
The Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars Race also includes a food and drink village and trackside entertainment.

Entrances
The event’s two entrances at Pembury Road and Halls Hole Road (Event’s Field) are all serviced regularly by buses from both Tunbridge Wells town centre and train station as well as surrounding areas and towns.
Parking
There will be no public parking at the Pembury Road and Hall’s Hole Road entrances, but we have access to a car park for 1,500 vehicles on the top "Events Field" of Dunorlan Park. The entrance is located at the top of Hall’s Hole Road, close to the corner of Hawkenbury Road.
There is no specific disabled parking for the event, Pembury Road Car Park will be closed to the public for the day of the event. Parking for the event will be provided in the events field. This may not be suitable for wheelchair users or anybody who requires a flat surfaced path to access the event, in which case we suggest you park in the Halls Hole Road Car Park and use the lake path to enter the event. Please note that this car will be open to the general public and spaces will be subject to usual availability.
Although provision has been made for parking, congestion is likely to build in the area, so we recommend if you live locally to walk to Dunorlan Park, use one of the town centre car parks or consider car-sharing to reduce the impact on the area and local residents.
