The Intensive Terms and Conditions

By attending a The Intensive workshop, you accept these terms and conditions ("Terms & Conditions") and sign your agreement to them as an ongoing agreement between you and The Intensive ("Agreement").

The Agreement is made between the attendee ("you") and The Intensive ("The Intensive", "we", "our", "us") and is valid at all times whilst the attendee is enrolled on any workshop activity and until such time as written notice is given in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

 

INTRODUCTION
 

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all our workshops and exclusive sessions and any additional products and/or services offered by The Intensive.
 

1.2 Any changes to these Terms & Conditions require the written consent or approval of The Intensive.
 

1.5 A "Workshop" refers to a workshop ran exclusively by The Intensive. Workshops will  take place at regular intervals across the year as detailed at the time of booking.
 

BOOKING A THE INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

2.1 To book a place at a The Intensive Workshop, the attendee will agree to these Terms & Conditions when booking.
 

2.2 Each attendee's place is allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. There may be additional checks before a booking is confirmed. Bookings must be accompanied by the appropriate payment/transfer, as set out at the booking stage for each workshop ("Deposit").
 

2.3 If The Intensive is unable to accept the booking due to capacity reasons, the attendee may be placed on a reserve list.  Before an attendee is placed on a reserve list, The Intensive shall inform the attendee whether (i) the Deposit will be retained by The Intensive whilst they are on the reserve list, or (ii) the Deposit will be refunded to the attendee and that they may be required to repay the Deposit at a later date if a place is confirmed. If the attendee does not wish to be placed on a reserve list the Deposit shall be refunded. In any event Deposits shall always be refunded within fourteen (14) days of informing the attendee that the Deposit is refundable for capacity reasons.

 

2.4 If the attendee wishes to cancel their booking, the Deposit is non-refundable.

 

2.5 If The Intensive are required to cancel a workshop due to COVID-19, then a full refund will be offered to all attendees or a replacement workshop offered.

2.6 Fees for each The Intensive Workshops may vary.
 

BALANCE PAYMENTS
 

3.1 For an attendee booked on any of The Intensive Workshops or Exclusive Workshops, following payment of the Deposit to The Intensive, attendees are required to make a subsequent payment of the outstanding balance due to The Intensive (the "Balance").
 

3.2 The Balance must be paid in full, subject to any alternative agreements made with The Intensive, by the first day of the workshop, by one of the following methods that are offered at the time of booking.
 

WORKSHOPS
 

4.1 Dates and times of Workshops are released in advance on The Intensive website.
 

4.2 If you cancel a place on a Workshop, the Deposit will be retained by The Intensive.
 

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
 

5.1 The personal data (as it is defined in the Data Protection Act 2018) of an attendee will be processed by The Intensive in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which can be found here. A hard copy of the Privacy Policy can be requested from info@theintensive.co.uk.
 

5.2 The Intensive owns all the rights, title and interest in and to its websites, including software, text and media and its trade marks, logos and brand elements. Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects or licences the ownership of these rights. Any intellectual property created during any Workshop is owned by The Intensive.
 

HEALTH AND SAFETY
 

6.1 Attendees participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform The Intensive and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition.

 

6.2 By attending a Workshop, all attendees will be required to complete a health declaration focused around COVID-19 and the symptoms that may or may not have had.
 

PERSONAL PROPERTY
 

7.1 Attendees are obliged to take care of their own belongings. The Intensive can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
 

GENERAL
 

8.1 The Intensive may, at its own discretion, refuse an attendee entry to a Workshop if it is felt that the attendees behaviour is unacceptable
 

8.2 The Intensive reserves the right to make changes to the timetable, the creatives attending,  the advertised programme or the programme delivery mechanism in the event of illness or other circumstances beyond our control.
 

8.3 Where a Workshop has to be cancelled by The Intensive, we will give as much notice as possible. In the event of a last minute session cancellation, you will be notified by email, text message, a call to your mobile phone and through our  social media channels. Attendees must ensure that they provide The Intensive with up-to-date contact details.

If no alternative can be offered, The Intensive will provide refunds for Workshops that are unable to be fulfilled.
 

8.4 It may occasionally be necessary to change the time and/or venue of a Workshop. This will only be done if absolutely necessary and The Intensive will do its best to keep class times, programme delivery mechanisms and/or locations as similar as possible but unfortunately this cannot always be guaranteed.
 

8.5 These Terms & Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between the parties which supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.
 

8.6 In the event that one or more of the provisions of the Agreement are found to be unlawful or otherwise unenforceable, those provisions shall be deemed severed from the remainder of the Agreement.
 

8.7  The Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales and any dispute, proceedings or claim shall fall within the jurisdiction of the English courts.
