From 19th July onwards, you will no longer be required to pre-book, but our online booking service will still be live, should you wish to. We will be continuing to monitor visitor numbers, so would recommend that you pre-book tickets to ensure your entry, if possible.
We will no longer be splitting ticket allocation into morning or afternoon timeslots and as such, you will be able to arrive any time between 10am and 4.30pm. Opening times for our attractions vary within this timeframe, pleas read below for full details.

Porcupine Pantry Cafe: Open daily, 9am - 5pm. Outdoor seating.
Gift Shop: Open daily, 9am - 5pm
Garden Restaurant: Closed
All Ticket bookings are final. In some circumstances tickets can be transferred to a different day should there still be availability on that day. Please call us on 01892 870307 or email contactus@penshurstplace.com if you would like to transfer your tickets. Unfortunately booked tickets are not refundable.
We remain committed to ensuring that everyone who visits Penshurst Place and Gardens can do so safe in the knowledge that it is a safe environment to relax and enjoy. Though the guidelines may be changing, our strict cleaning regime will not be.
If you are a season ticket holder, you will be able to use this same system to reserve a space, or to add additional guests whether these are a part of your season ticket cost or not. Additional guests that are not entitled to free entry as a part of your membership will require their own separate ticket(s) that can be booked through the online booking system.
Please select spaces ONLY for the number registered to your season ticket. Additional members of your party that exceed the number of guests permitted on your season ticket will require their own paid ticket/s. Please book using the name on your season ticket
Please remember to bring along your season ticket when you visit so this can be verified. If you do not bring your season ticket with you, you will not be permitted entrance to Penshurst Place and Gardens.
As with all ticket types, Season Ticket reservations may be capped to manage visitor numbers, so you may need to check the booking page frequently to find a suitable time and date that is available.
We cannot sell Season Tickets through our booking site just yet. However, if you would like to become a season ticket holder, we recommend purchasing your standard day tickets first. If at the end of your visit you choose to upgrade your ticket to that of a Season Ticket, all you need to do is return to the visitor entrance to purchase one. We will then refund your day ticket cost back to you through the booking website (up to the amount of people on the Season Ticket being purchased for).

We are now accepting Historic Houses Association members, the Gardener's World 2for1 card, and RHS member bookings through our site. Please read through the following terms and conditions before booking.
If you are an RHS Member you may reserve a ticket here. Please note that, free access is only applicable Monday – Friday outside of school holidays and bank holidays for the asterixed adult named cardholder. You will need to bring along your RHS card on the day of your visit to be verified upon arrival. If you do not bring your RHS card with you, you will be required to pay for a standard entrance ticket.
RHS reservations may be capped per timeslot to manage visitor numbers, so you may need to check the booking page frequently to find a suitable time and date that is available.
Gardener’s world tickets are valid in conjunction with one full paid adult gardens ticket. If you would like to make use of your Gardener’s World 2 for 1 pass, please add the Gardener’s World free ticket to your basket as well as the paid for adult ticket you will be using to qualify for this offer. You will need to bring your Gardener’s World card with you on the day of your visit to be verified upon arrival. If you do not bring your Gardener’s World card with you, you will be required to pay for the free ticket you had reserved, upon arrival.
Please note, only two children under 5 will be admitted free of charge for the paying adult only, further under 5's will require their own paid for ticket.
If you are a member of the Historic Houses Association, you will be able to use this same system to reserve a space. Please remember to bring along your HHA membership card when you visit so this can be verified. If you do not bring your membership card with you, you will be required to pay for your reserved tickets upon your arrival.
We are not an English Heritage property, however due to the generosity of the owners, EH members will receive a complimentary upgrade to see the House when purchasing the EH ticket option on the booking page. You must bring your EH membership card with you on the day of your visit to qualify.
Please be aware, only registered assistance dogs are allowed past the paid perimeter into Penshurst Place.
For wheelchair users and those with walking or mobility difficulties, we provide a variety of alternative routes and experiences. The more we know in advance of your visit, the more we can help, so do call us in advance to inform us of any special requirements you may have.

Located in West Kent, Penshurst Place is just 7 miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells. It is easily accessible from Junction 5 of the M25 and is just over 1 hour from London and the Channel Tunnel. Satnav TN11 8DG.
From M25 Junction 5 follow A21 to Tonbridge, leaving at Hildenborough exit; then follow brown tourist signs.
From M20/M26 Junction 2a follow A25 (Sevenoaks), A21 for Hildenborough, then follow brown tourist signs.
There is ample free car parking in our main visitor car park, close to the Visitor Entrance and Gift Shop. Parking for the disabled is signed and on the hard-standing area next to our Visitor Entrance and Gift Shop.
For coaches, allocated hard-standing coach parking is located adjacent to the Visitor Entrance. Double decker coaches unable to fit in the archway entrance (3.8m high by 2.4m wide) can drop off at an alternative entrance and park in the lay-by in the village. Please call us in advance to arrange.

Train to Tunbridge Wells Station, then taxi to Penshurst (7 miles).
Train to Edenbridge Station, then bus 231 & 233 (excludes Sundays).
Train to Tonbridge Station, then taxi to Penshurst (6miles).
Train to Penshurst Station, then walk (2.5 miles, on roads with no footpaths).
Penshurst Place can be accessed mostly off road from Tonbridge by following the blue Regional Cycle Route 12 signs. There are cycle racks at Penshurst Place are situated outside the main Visitor Entrance and Gift Shop.
We have assigned accessible spaces close to the visitor entrance for all blue badge holders. We also have a hanfdul of wheelchairs that are available to reserve, all you need to do is give us a calla few days before your visit so that we can ensure one is put aside for you.
As a grade-listed garden some of the paths are a little trickier to traverse than others, but we do have an accessible route that you can download here
