What you need to know

PREPARE TO CHRISTMAS PARTY - THE BIG ONE IS COMING: PUMP'S FIRST EVER BIG FESTIVE NIGHT OUT!


There could be the chance you'll hear some 80s festive cheese (and I daresay cheese rolls will be available at the bar!), and yes, your very bestest, sparkliest, fanciest dress is strongly encouraged if you can manage it! It's not compulsory though, just make sure you come clothed for your dancefloor comfort. As this will be taking place on the last Saturday before Christmas, we're taking it as read tickets will sell quickly, so round up your mates and line up your ducks ASAP, because once we sell out, there will be none available on the door!


If you didn't already know about PUMP, we're a five-hour club night celebrating the fantastic music of the 80s, with floor-fillers galore, juggernaut hits and near misses, mild cheese and mature classics from across the musical spectrum.....Rock, Pop, Soul, Disco, Ska, 2-Tone, Mod, New Romantic, Goth, Synthpop, Rock 'n' Roll, Indie, Metal, New Wave, Reggae....the only problem is keeping the playlist down to 5 hours, which is 80 tracks (give or take).....


There'll be the tunes you love, as well as those you forgot you loved back in the day...just make sure you come ready to dance your leg-warmers off!


As we said, 80's-style fancy dress is entirely optional but massively encouraged, as is your favourite band T-shirt from back in the day (if you still have an original, we'll be impressed!), otherwise come clothed for comfort on the dancefloor!


From AC/DC and ABC via OMD and XTC to ZZ Top and all points inbetween, you're in for a satisfyingly 80s-tastic night at PUT80s!

VENUE LOCATION: The Lawns Social Club is located in the heart of Taunton, on the A38, opposite the High Street car park, and a 15 minute walk from the railway station.


ABOUT PARKING: There is a small car park on site, and a much larger public car park directly opposite the venue which is usually free after 6pm (but do check the signage on arrival to verify this). Should you be lucky enough to find a space in the on-site car park, you will be required to enter your registration number on a tablet within 10 minutes of parking up. The tablet is located at the main reception. Failure to do so will incur a hefty fine which we won't be able to overturn!


ABOUT SEATING: Please note that The Lawns Social Club has plenty of unreserved seating, but purchasing a ticket only guarantees you entry to the event, not a seat, so try to arrive as you possibly can if having a seat is important to you. Exception: we will reserve a seat in advance for the mobility-impaired and wheelchair users, who should contact the organiser (JD Events) immediately upon ticket purchase should a seat or space be required.


FOOD & BEVERAGE AVAILABILITY: The Lawns Social Club offers a full bar service from 6pm, and a range of hot and cold bar snacks and meals. Call them directly nearer the time to inquire about what's on the menu - 07891 996010. Alternatively, there are many restaurant or fast food choices a stone's throw away.


ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS: There are two hotels within a few minutes walk of The Lawns Social Club - 1) The Corner House Hotel, and, 2) The Taunton House Hotel. There are also two Premier Inn hotels within a 5 minute drive.
