The Railway Ultra was such a success it will return in 2020 on the 2nd August we have also added The Winter Railway Ultra on the 15th February 2020.  The route takes runners along the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth along the disused railway line where the views of the river are outstanding.

You have the choice of running 9, 19, 28, or 37 miles. Each out and back lap is 9.4 miles and there will be water stations every 4.7 miles.

Race starts at 10.00. Race HQ TF8 7JF on railway behind The Woodbridge Public House, Parking is 10 minutes away in Coalport.

Entry  include a medal, computer timing, and drinks and snacks at the aid stations.

If you are interested in staying in the area after the race, the are 4 pubs within a mile on the river. The Woodbridge Inn, The Shakespear (with rooms), The Brewery (cheap good food), and The Boat Inn.  The Coalport YHA is also within 1 mile of the finish.

We have been involved in event management for over 13 years working on all race distances from 5K’s right up to Ultra Marathons. We are actively involved in the course build of numerous OCR’s that take place in the UK. When we launched How Hard Can it be Events, we wanted to make running events fun and put on events that we would want to take part in ourselves. That is why we have worked hard to host smaller, friendlier events, where people can relax and get to know people and enjoy the whole running experience. We think this philosophy is what makes us stand out from the crowd.
