This booking page is for the Gardening Courses for Hobby Gardeners (2023/4).

Gardening Course 1 - Runs weekly from 3rd - 24th November 2023 

Each week will include a practical session and an educated walk round the gardens 

Topics:

1. Plants - Naming and grouping of plants, identifying plants and plant selection.

2. Plant Growth – Plant parts and their roles in growth. Nutrients and fertiliser.  Pruning.

3. Soil and Composting.

4. Plant Problems - Pests, diseases and Disorders.

Each week will include a practical session and an educated walk round the gardens 

Topics:

1. Recap and Working with Nature to create a balanced eco-system in the garden.

2. Conifers and selecting plants grown for Winter Interest.

3. Propagation – Hard wood cuttings and Root Cuttings.

4. Propagation - Seed sowing.

WHO NEEDS TO BOOK?

Pre-booking is essential for this course.

Booking confirmation will be sent via email. A cancellation fee of £100 will apply if you withdraw two weeks before the start of the course. After this time if you withdraw from the course there is no reimbursement of fees.
