Alzheimer’s Society and Hospice in the Weald

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity campaigning for change, research and support services for those who are affected by dementia.

Hospice in the Weald provides free care and support to local people of all ages with terminal illness and their families.

What you need to know

Please note that on the 23 & 24 September some attractions and parts of the grounds will be closed. Ticket prices have been reduced to reflect these changes. See website for details.

This booking page is for the Afternoon Tea Experience. This experience includes access to the Castle & Gardens (depending upon the ticket type chosen). You should arrive in the grounds at least 30 mins before your afternoon tea session time. The grounds open at 10.30am. The Castle opens at midday and last entry is at 5pm. Your Afternoon Tea will be served in the Anne Boleyn Wing.

Afternoon Teas must be pre-booked and are subject to availability.

Booking closes at 3pm on the Friday before the Afternoon Tea date.

Menus: Adults and Children 12 years (Standard and Vegan) and over or Children 11 years and under.

Visitors with Accessible Needs: Before booking, please contact the Estate Office to discuss accessibility - call 01732 865224 09.00 - 17.30 (Mon – Fri) or 01732 861800 (Weekends and Bank Holidays). Due to the historic nature of the building, wheelchair access is via a back of house area. Standard charges apply to visitors with accessible needs, general admission for carers is free of charge. WHO NEEDS TO BOOK?

Pre-booking is essential for this experience. 

Day Visitors/Non-Members – This booking page is for the Afternoon Tea Experience. Tickets for general day visits can be found here.

Annual Members – Please enter your membership card number when booking and remember to bring a valid membership card with you on your visit. To purchase or renew annual memberships - click here

Existing Ticket Holders – If you are in possession of a hard copy Hever Castle ticket that has been sent to you by Hever Castle, won as part of a competition/raffle or you have received as a member of Hever Castle Golf Club, you can book online using the option for Existing Ticket Holders when making your booking or book on arrival (subject to availability). Please remember to bring your ticket with you, otherwise you will be charged in full and may be refused entry.

Partner Offers – These offers are not valid for this experience.

Carers – Standard charges apply to visitors with accessible needs, carers are free of charge and should select a Carer ticket under the Day Visitors/Non Members option. Proof of disability will be requested on arrival, which may include a Blue Badge, statement of special educational needs from LEA or NHS, or a letter from a medical professional on NHS headed paper or a DLA letter from the department of Work & Pensions.

B&B Guests  Please use the Existing Ticket Holders ticket option. All Hever Castle B&B guests receive complimentary access to the Castle and grounds during opening hours on the day of arrival, the day of departure and all days in between. Outside of opening hours, and on days when the Castle and grounds are closed, guests can enjoy access to some parts of the gardens.

Afternoon Tea Voucher Holders - Please use the Afternoon Tea Voucher Holder ticket option. Please remember to bring your voucher with you, otherwise you will be charged in full and may be refused entry.

Tickets will be sent via email. Tickets cannot be resold, exchanged or transferred to another date.
