Chiddingstone Castle’s 2023 Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 25th November between 10am and 4pm.

Pre Booked Online Tickets are discounted to £7.50 for adults and £4 for children until midnight Friday November 24th - pre booking allows us to manage staff levels and parking better as well as helping to keep entrance queues down on the day. The gate and online price on the day is £9.50 adult and £6 child. Parking is included in the ticket price. 

A wonderful array of Artisans, Vintage & Creative Small Businesses will be offering a selection of Christmas gifts, decorations and food and drink from over 50 hand-curated stalls inside the Castle and in the large, heated marquee in the Castle grounds. Visit Christmas at the Castle to shop locally and sustainably browsing unique products that are not found on the High Street and plenty of one of a kind vintage items. 

Add a touch of seasonal magic to your Christmas shopping experience and explore this historic building full of festive sights and smells whilst finding something special for your home, for gifts, for the Christmas table and for you. Come along with friends and make a day of it. 

Delicious food will be available from our food vendors along with Barristo coffee and hot drinks. Mulled wine and mince pies will also add to the seasonal cheer!

The beautiful countryside location of this lovely Castle is perfect for a relaxed shopping opportunity. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to buy a ticket online?

We are incentivising visitors to buy tickets online so we can help to manage our staff numbers for the day and keep the entrance moving smoothly so you spend more time shopping and less time queuing. You can buy tickets on the door but they will be at the higher rate of £9.50 and £6.

Can I bring my children?

Please be aware that the Christmas Fair is curated with shopping in mind, there are no activites for children on the day.

Can I bring a pushchair?

If you are bringing children to the Christmas Fair, please no pushchairs or prams, we just don't have the room to accommodate them.

Can I bring my dog?

We do love dogs and at many events we actively encourage you to bring them along to the Castle, to enter Dog Shows and enjoy our grounds but not today please it is likely to be very busy and the event is indoors.

Is there a cash machine?

Due to our rural setting there is no cash machine on site or nearby. Some stall holders may have card machines for payments but for ease and speed we highly recommend bringing cash.

Where can I park?

You will be able to park on the North Lawn during this event, so please wear appropriate footwear as it could be a little soft underfoot.

Can I get there by public transport?

If you are travelling to us by train, our closest stations are Penshurst, Cowden, Edenbridge, Hildenborough, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge but do make sure to book a taxi ahead of time as not all of these stations have permanent taxi ranks.

Is there disabled access?

Yes, disabled parking is available and the Castle can be accessible via ramp. Please be aware that as an historic house, sadly there are some rooms that are not accessible by wheelchair.
